The Churches in West San Gabriel Valley

A Beautiful Thing Done to the Churches and to All the Saints

Brother Wu was our pattern in treasuring the ministry, affirming the ministry, being constituted with the ministry, and spreading the ministry; even more, he put it into practice himself. For many years he steadfastly continued, leading the brothers in Taiwan to attend the seven conferences and trainings each year, so that the churches throughout the earth could go on in the one flow of the same Spirit.

For us, the churches in the West Valley, we not only saw Brother Wu's good pattern but also personally experienced Brother Wu's concern for the churches and the saints. In 2012, while the church in Arcadia was in the process of building its new meeting hall, when Brother Wu learned of it, he fellowshipped to have the church in Taipei custom-make six hundred chairs, which, after customs inspection, were shipped to the new meeting hall; throughout the process, all the procedures and expenses were resolved through Brother Wu's arrangements in his service. These chairs were sturdy in quality, comfortable, and durable. Through this, not only were the saints of the church in Arcadia blessed, but the churches in the West Valley also frequently use that hall for blending, and even the churches in Southern California hold there the twice-yearly gospel harvest meeting and truth symposium. For more than a year now, the churches in Southern California have also used this place to hold the elders' training. What Brother Wu did to the churches and to all the saints was truly a beautiful thing.

In the midst of his busy service, Brother Wu was very concerned for the gospel seed training for scholars held in Arcadia, coming several times to support it, encouraging the students and scholars among the saints to love the Lord, to consecrate themselves, and to attend the full-time training, leaving an indelible impression on the saints.

For many years, in the twice-yearly trainings (the summer training and the winter training), the churches in the West Valley have received saints from overseas and have held pray-reading, studying, memorizing, and speaking. In this Brother Wu also gave strong support. During the training each year, Brother Wu personally handed into our hands the outlines (with the verses) printed in Taiwan. Brother Wu's character of being both great and detailed was fully expressed in this; he was truly our pattern.
