Being Perfected to Practice God's Ordained Way
Thank the Lord! By the Lord's grace, after I was saved I immediately joined the training of the second term of the Study Class, during which I had the privilege of being taught by Brother Paul Wu, Brother Tan, and others, and came to have a more comprehensive and deeper understanding and knowledge of the Bible. Thank the Lord! It was precisely the supply and fellowship of Brother Wu and others in the Lord, the equipping in the truth at the Study Class, that made me all the more firm and continual in loving the Lord, trusting in the Lord, and preaching the gospel.
The study at the Study Class was solemn, intense, and yet full of joy and enjoyment. The brothers, bearing a full love for the Lord—especially Brother Wu and others—regardless of how heavy their affairs were, repeatedly took time to teach us and to speak to us, full of faith, burden, and expectation for the trainees. In the building up of the gospel households and the districts, in the exercise of the practice of the new way, and in the practice of the vital groups, they gave us much guidance—even parting the clouds to reveal the sky and opening the eyes of our heart. The wisdom of Brother Wu and others, their rich testimonies, their tireless supply, and their earnest teaching are truly unforgettable!
Though the study at the Study Class was brief, yet through the supply and equipping of the brothers and co-workers, I, one who had only recently come under grace, had the eyes of my heart greatly opened, and my spiritual life grew rapidly. In the past, I was deeply influenced by the traditions of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism; in turning from a hardened resister of the gospel into a Christian, I took many winding and tortuous detours. It was precisely through the guidance and help of Brother Wu and others that I caught a glimpse of the light of the truth of Christ. I am willing to pursue together with the brothers and sisters, to pray together, to blend our living together, to trust firmly and continually in the Lord, to preach the gospel, and to exercise firmly and continually in the vital groups.
A measure of comfort is that the labor and the giving of Brother Wu and the brothers are now blossoming and bearing fruit. The present me, in pursuing the Lord, in serving and coordinating with the brothers and sisters, and in preaching the gospel, is no longer green and hesitant; through the rich flowing of the inner life, I coordinate with the responsible brothers of the district to carry out every service well and have taken up more burdens. I also expect that in the future I may be one who wholly serves the Lord!
Because of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, although the brothers and sisters were forced to stay at home, yet through the internet we, together with all the brothers and sisters, pursued and prayed in one accord, raising up the brothers and sisters to carry out all kinds of online prayer and pursuit groups, strengthening the exercise of the home helpers, and preaching the Lord as the gospel to those around us. No matter how harsh the outward environment, we still pursued the Lord firmly and continually, and every day was full of joy—truly a living that is on earth as it is in heaven.
The COVID-19 pandemic has given us more watchfulness and seeing; may more gospel friends turn to the Lord and be saved!
