A Serving One Who Bore the Brothers Upon His Heart
In March 2011, at a one-week blending gathering in Hong Kong, I met Brother Wu. It was also the Lord's leading: entrusted by the brothers, bearing a burden, I came to see Brother Wu and to fellowship with him. At my first meeting and fellowship with the brother, I saw his humility and amiability. In the fellowship I sensed the brother's supply in the word of the Lord, and the divine life flowing out of the brother nourished and comforted me!
Brother Wu's care for the brothers was especially tender. Even after a lapse of seven years, he still remembered the names and telephone numbers of two suffering brothers, which moved me deeply. Brother Wu was like Brother Paul, constantly remembering the saints, having a father's heart; the Lord's virtues were manifested in the brother without reserve.
In the years following 2011, I attended the one-week blending in Hong Kong every year, and each year I fellowshipped with Brother Wu. When I saw the brother the second year, he likewise could call out my name; from this I saw that the brother carried the saints in his heart. Every time I met the brother, I not only saw the outflow of the divine life from him, but even more received comfort from him and was satisfied through his feeding in the Lord's word.
That I can serve and function in the church today is, first, the Lord's mercy, and second, the brother's supply and strengthening in the word of the Lord. Once, in fellowship with the brother, he fellowshipped with me concerning the church and the ground of the church. Through the fellowship, the brother strengthened these truths into me, enabling me to stand on the ground of the local church and to press on continually in this living flow of the Lord's recovery. I thank the brother for his supply and strengthening; I received great help and pursue continually onward in life and in the Lord's word!
