Entering into the Instant Speaking
Being Delivered from the Local Self; Serving for the Perfecting and the Building Up
Brother Wu served in the bookroom, and through the winter and summer trainings each year, the churches throughout Taiwan gradually entered into the same flow. In recent years, after the spring elders' training each year, the all-Taiwan brothers' service blending was held at the central blending center, with about two thousand brothers attending in three batches; after the autumn elders' training each year, there was the all-Taiwan sisters' blending, with nearly four thousand sisters attending. Through this, the churches, by the same progress and pursuit, received grace in the Body—a fact plain for all to see. Add to this the Memorial Day and Thanksgiving conferences each year, where the blending brothers sought before the Lord the timely burden and speaking; the churches, through blending, entered into the speaking of the ministry, and thus this flow flowed from the center to the circumference, flowing the instant word into the testimony of the whole Body.
Worth mentioning is the International Chinese-speaking Conference held in Taipei once every three years, which always attracts several thousand overseas saints to come and blend, not only bringing the churches throughout the globe into the same flow of life but also giving a concrete testimony of the reality of the Body of Christ and the one new man.
Under the leading of the wise Lord, the brothers divided all Taiwan into sixteen caring districts, with brothers practically arranged to care for them. Each year, regularly, on schedule and off schedule, they gather together; through the blending in coordination, we are blended out of the local boundaries, so that we lose the self and the narrow mutual distinctions, and are blended into the reality of the Body. Not only is the speaking we enter into one; even the practice is in the same direction and toward the same goal.
In his concluding words at the spring all-Taiwan co-workers' meeting on February 7 this year, Brother Wu encouraged the young full-timers to seize the opportunity to go abroad to propagate, and through the many environments and tribulations, to experience the Lord's keeping and also to be perfected. He exhorted the saints, in the church life, by the Lord's mercy, to throw themselves into the service; always to learn to bear the burden and receive the commission; to be equipped and supplied, and to be perfected in the service, for the building up of the Body of Christ.
