A Broad Heart and a Faithful Spirit
Strenuous Service and a Faithful Pattern
Around 1992 I was still not quite accustomed to how to receive brothers who came to visit from abroad; yet Brother Wu showed no sign of dissatisfaction at all, none of the sense of distance that, in my impression, previous brothers had given off. On the contrary, with tender words and a cordial smile he thanked us for our hospitality, and from the brother's warm and cordial humanity I sensed the fragrance of Christ.
We passed through some opposition and difficulty in the church life. In our straits, Brother Wu earnestly visited and served us to the uttermost. These scenes are vivid before my eyes. My memories of the brother truly cannot be recounted and recorded one by one. I deeply desire that the brother's broad heart, his faithful spirit in serving, and his pattern of serving the church and the saints with all his heart and strength may also become the direction of my life—that I may consecrate myself in the church to become a faithful and trustworthy member.
Brother Wu, I love you!
