Set by His Master over His Household,

to Give Them Food at the Proper Time

Brother Wu was exceedingly positive and full of faith; he would always say, "No problem." To him, "with the Lord there is nothing that cannot be done." Whenever a difficult matter arose in administration, the moment one consulted him it would be readily resolved. When Pingtung had material needs, he would always supply greatly, and the saints in Pingtung all respected him, loved him, and miss him.

He greatly encouraged people. Once, while eating lunch in Chaozhou, Pingtung, he said, "Brother Guo, your giving your two precious sons to Hong Kong like gifts is truly so valuable; they have indeed surpassed their forebears." He always affirmed others.

In ordering the Collected Works of Witness Lee, Pingtung adopted the promotional strategy of "payment by installments" and "a bookshelf free with a set of books," and as a result the sets sold well and far exceeded the target; Brother Wu would take the occasion to commend us, and we were greatly encouraged.

Once when he came to Pingtung, I had the privilege of receiving him and having breakfast with him. I consulted him about some difficulties in the service, and with just a simple sentence or two he made me understand, and we avoided a trial that should not have been.

At every conference and training he was always present, and his presence always supplied life. He seemed able to remember everyone's name. I asked him how he could remember the names of so many churches at home and abroad, and so many responsible brothers and co-workers. He said, "I have a notebook in which I write down everyone's name, and by often calling on their names, I remember them." From this one can see that he often interceded for the brothers in the Lord's recovery.
