Yes, We Are the Most Blessed Generation
Brother Wu Youcheng—I call him my big brother, though in fact he was only a few months older than I—because from the age of fifteen we met together at Hall Six of the church in Taipei, growing up together, just like brother and sister of the same family.
What I remember most deeply is the time we prepared our lessons together at Hall Six for the college entrance examinations, each one of us finding a corner to study by ourselves. My level in mathematics and physics and chemistry was enough to strike fear in onlookers; every time I asked him for help, he would shake his head without stopping, not knowing where to begin to teach me, and longing to give up on this student. I felt it was he who had not taught me well, because by the time my daughter was in high school and asked me about mathematics and physics and chemistry, I still could not do them. Later we became relatives by marriage and grew even closer.
It is truly as he said in his testimony in 2010: We are the most blessed generation. When we were young people, the church valued the young people. When we were in college, the church valued the perfecting of college students. When we were in the workplace, the church valued the young working ones. So during that period of studying in college, we served the children and the young people together. It was truly precious and sweet! Yes, we are the most blessed generation.
