Surpassing Wisdom,

Bold yet Careful, Loving and Laboring—

Do Not Stop Meeting

From childhood we lived in the same village. In those days everyone's life was poor and hard, but because of God's mercy and the support of the brothers and sisters, we all still lived quite full of vigor; we were young and had never known good days, so we did not know it as hardship either. Brother Wu was the same age as my older brother. He was open and cheerful by disposition, played ball well, and when he was young often played together with my brother. My brother often said that Brother Wu had surpassing wisdom, was bold yet careful, and was a leader-type figure.

In the spring of the year before last, Brother Wu was hospitalized, yet he pulled out his own tubes and, sick as he was, escaped from the hospital to attend my mother's memorial meeting. It moved our whole family beyond measure! This is the Wu Youcheng we knew. He did not spare himself in order to serve others; his love and labor went beyond the ordinary. Because of his special friendship with my brother, the sentence he said to us most often was: do not stop meeting. Big Brother Wu, we will remember.
