A Father's Heart; Surrounded by a Cloud
From 2005 on, the church in Hong Kong had, three times a year, saints from the neighboring churches coming to Hong Kong to blend and to be perfected. From the initial few dozen, it soon increased to about five hundred each time.
Each time, Brother Wu would arrange for the Chinese-speaking co-workers from Taiwan and the United States to coordinate in the ministry of the word, and he himself also came in person all along to serve and support.
During the blending conferences, besides the fellowship of the word, Brother Wu threw himself fully into the fellowship great and small, having fellowship after fellowship with the serving ones and saints from various places. Often he fellowshipped deep into the night—truly exhausting his heart and strength. Even in recent years, when his body was not well, he still did not spare himself but seized the opportunity to serve.
Often I watched how he fellowshipped with the churches and co-workers who had difficulties. Brother Wu had a broad capacity; he always, untiringly, perfected and guided the churches and responsible brothers who were in difficulty, never rejecting or giving up on anyone—truly having something of Moses about him.
The brother did not avoid difficulties; he was willing to take up and bear the difficulties of the churches and to face the difficult situations of the Lord's recovery, letting the Lord pass through in him.
He was very busy serving the blending conferences in Hong Kong, yet each time he specially asked me to accompany him to Tseung Kwan O to visit his sick, weak, and lonely uncle, giving comfort and encouragement and leading him to believe in the Lord, until his uncle passed away from illness a few years ago. This was a good pattern of his manner of life.
