Forgetting the Things Behind, Pursuing the Things Before
On May 30, 2009, he himself, together with many co-worker caretakers, actually made time to come to my and my wife's wedding gathering at the Jiuru meeting hall of the church in Kaohsiung (that week was the Dragon Boat Festival long weekend, and there was also the first "Memorial Day Conference with Pray-reading, Studying, Memorizing, and Speaking" held at the central blending center in all Taiwan).
That day I shared the experience of how we came to know each other and then to marry; I testified that, having remarried after my former wife passed away from cancer, in the fellowship I expressed my longing for my former wife.
After the co-worker caretakers fellowshipped and blessed us one after another, Brother Wu exhorted me with Philippians 3:13-14, "forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I pursue toward the goal," that from now on we as husband and wife would love the Lord and serve the Lord well, pursue the things before, and be one accord in coordination to bring in the blessing of begetting, nourishing, and increase.
