Surrounded by a Cloud・Until the End of the Course
In 2015 the Middle Eastern refugees and migrants began to enter Germany in great numbers. As the church prayed and the ministry led the way, the responsible brothers of Taiwan began to fellowship how to cooperate with the Lord's move at this time, and among them, of course, was our dear Brother Wu.
Following closely upon the many waves of gospel action, Brother Wu also came to visit Germany in the spring of 2016, concerned for the Lord's move and for all the churches in Germany. At that time, besides my personal studies and church life, I also had the saints' hospitality and gospel coordination, as well as the need to shepherd the newly saved refugees. Facing this enormous change, my heart actually felt as if it were "floating in midair." At this moment, hearing the news that Brother Wu and others would come to visit, I suddenly felt that morale was greatly lifted, that things were "steady," that my heart was "settled."
The day Brother Wu came to visit was the prayer meeting of the church in Berlin, and I helped to translate in the meeting. Brother Wu's fellowship was full of loving concern, encouragement, and comfort! And in it he even mentioned this little one. I remember he said, "The brother we raised up in Taiwan has come to Berlin and is so useful! If he were still in Taiwan, no one would have known him!" After I had awkwardly finished translating this sentence, everyone laughed. So it turns out that a nobody from Taiwan could be useful after coming to Germany—then surely everyone else could be too! This was just how Brother Wu knew how to encourage people.
Actually, at first I thought: I'm not really that bad…. But immediately I knew that it was the Lord's mercy that I could still remain in the church! Brother Wu's words not only encouraged me, but also brought me into the Lord's light.
Thank the Lord, Brother Wu was a faithful and prudent servant of the Lord, like a cloud surrounding us, causing us to run until the end of the course!
