The Need for Practical Coordination with the Ministry
In the winter of 1982, Brother Zhang Xiangze (張湘澤) led the serving ones of the bookroom to go together to Irving, Texas, in the United States to attend the Life-study training on First and Second Peter and Jude. At that time, not only did we receive the spiritual transmission and see the importance of entering into the speaking of this present age, but we also understood the need for practical coordination with the ministry (2 Tim. 4:13). Brother Wu put it into practice himself and led all the colleagues to enter in together. Therefore, the winter and summer video trainings began to be held, the classic sets of books were continually put out, and the basic subscriptions were established, laying a solid foundation for supplying the churches with the riches of the ministry.
In 1985, Brother Lee received the burden and returned to Taiwan to lead the God-ordained way and the going on of the churches in Taiwan. At the youth activity centers in Xitou and Baishawan, Brother Wu gathered the responsible brothers and the publication serving ones from various places to fellowship, mentioning that the truth must be wrought into the believers' homes, so that every household could teach and study the truth; and he encouraged the colleagues of the bookroom to have a far-reaching outlook and to recognize clearly the mission entrusted to them.
Steadfastly and Continually Spreading the Ministry of the Age Together
Brother Wu led the serving ones to spread it steadfastly and continually together, up to the present, so that we, on the foundation of the foresight and inheritance of the divine revelation, would be spreaders of the divine revelation. We need our eyes to be opened to see the riches and preciousness of the content revealed in God's word, and to be continually attracted, so that we may enter more into the Lord's word and be constituted with His word.
Once, when I returned to Taiwan to attend the training for the full-time serving ones, after the meeting I was startled to find the training speaker, Brother Wu, standing behind the publication stand, humbly serving the young trainees who came to buy publications. I was deeply moved.
Publishing the Collected Works of Watchman Nee and the Collected Works of Witness Lee
The bookroom has printed six thousand sets of the Collected Works of Watchman Nee; and after printing and ordering two thousand sets of the English edition of the Collected Works of Witness Lee, Brother Wu, through many difficult processes, took a step of faith and printed three thousand five hundred sets of the Collected Works of Witness Lee, which have now all been ordered. He truly treasured the riches of the ministry of the age, and treasured the practical coordination with this ministry, for the building up of the organic Body of Christ.
