The Literature Work and the Spreading of the Ministry

Brother Zhu Moxi: I would like to use several passages that Brother Witness Lee spoke to the serving ones of Taiwan Gospel Book Room to remember Brother Wu's service in the book room. Brother Lee once encouraged us:

In the work of serving the Lord full-time, the literature work is the highest, because this work is universal and ever-abiding. ... Some brothers have served for more than thirty years and may be said to have great labor and great merit; I believe all the churches everywhere are thankful to them. In the future, before the judgment seat of Christ, I believe the Lord will acknowledge this account.

Brother Wu led Taiwan Gospel Book Room for thirty-eight years. In the spreading and promotion of the spoken word of the age's ministry, his contribution, the benefit received by the churches everywhere, and the value before the Lord are all self-evident.

Concerning the literature service, Brother Lee charged us:

First, we must clearly recognize the goal, bear the commission, and get the Lord's literature out. Second, in the corporate service we must do our own part with all our heart. Third, since we are to send the Lord's word out, we must be the first to live out these words. The service in the book room tests whether we are truly "no longer I, but Christ."

Brother Wu led us and accompanied us to live the kind of serving life that Brother Lee expected. He brought us to settle inwardly on the goal of God's economy, and practically to set goals in production, publishing, distribution, and promotion, reviewing them week by week. He charged us to fill out a work report every day, examining our own service; and he timely adjusted the arrangements of our service, enlarging everyone's capacity. He cared about how the churches everywhere were benefiting from the ministry, and cared even more about whether the serving ones in the book room were the first to enter into the riches of the ministry and to hear what the Spirit was speaking to the churches.

In 1997, Brother Wu led us, at Brother Lee's memorial meeting, to renew our consecration for the work of the ministry; today, we once again affirm to the Lord such a consecration, asking the Lord to accept and perfect it.

Countless times, on different occasions, the four words "no problem" that we heard from Brother Wu's mouth spoke out an absolute obedience to the Lord's will, an absolute following of the ministry's leading, a selfless commitment to those under the same yoke, an encouragement and support to the weak, a rejection of the natural life, and a complete entrusting to the power of resurrection. We believe that when we meet again in resurrection, we will all joyfully declare: in the Lord's unchanging will and His incorruptible life, everything is "no problem"!
