A Beneficiary of the Word of the Ministry
Becoming a Spreader of the Word of the Ministry
I was being perfected while living in the sisters' house of Hall One of the church in Taipei. At that time about eighty students each day had morning revival together, regularly attended the winter and summer video trainings as well as the college students' winter and summer vacation conference trainings, and there were many spiritual homes opened up to shepherd the students. Coordinating with us in the new-believers' symposiums, they brought over a hundred students to be baptized! I often saw Brother Wu Youcheng sitting and working in the office of the Gospel Book Room at Hall One of the church in Taipei. I once fellowshipped with him about the difficulties of my family members' salvation and my studies, and he encouraged me to be well perfected in the sisters' house, to feed the new ones, and to commit everything to the Lord! On one occasion, the meeting hall encouraged the saints to recite Scripture in exchange for a Recovery Version Bible. I telephoned him from school, wanting to recite Song of Songs chapters one through eight to him, and right there in the office he patiently listened to me recite the whole of it, and then he gave me a New Testament Recovery Version Bible! What an encouragement that was to a young person. Brother Wu Youcheng also invited the students to his home and to restaurants for love feasts; his care for the students was something that we little ones, young and inexperienced, were unable to enter into deeply. Now as I look back, I realize what shepherding that was. Attending the full-time training, in the second year I was assigned to the Recovery Version Bible promotion team, going to all the churches and various groups throughout Taiwan to promote the Recovery Version Bible, and we received a very good response—truly because we were beneficiaries of the word of the ministry.
