Following the Pattern to the End of the Road
At the co-workers' training in early February this year, besides speaking some words to encourage and strengthen us, Brother Wu did one other thing that left a deep impression on me: he spared no effort in recommending the electronic edition of the Collected Works of Witness Lee. Before the meeting ended, he took up a "Cross-Platform 365-Day Reading Access Card" and said that the brothers in the book room had labored to compile and produce the electronic edition—it was very hard, very toilsome work—and that we ought to give them much encouragement. Then he said that tonight there would be a further discount: whether for an individual or a group purchase of ten, the price for all would be one thousand dollars per card, with no change given (in fact the special price was NT$1,149); whoever needed to buy one could come to find him. After the meeting was dismissed, he handed them out one by one with his own hands to the brothers and sisters. So greatly did he value the propagation of the word of the ministry, and through it he once again made contact with the brothers and sisters. My son and I also received a card from Brother Wu, and it truly filled us with warmth.
Brother Wu served the Lord as an overcomer, faithfully, to the very end of the road—he is truly my pattern. I ask the Lord to stir me up to run forward, to follow the brother's pattern, that I may be able to serve the Lord faithfully in the church.
