The Love from God the Father—
Only to Receive It, with No Way to Repay
From my student days through my working years, I lived at the sisters' house at Hall One. Brother Wu cared for us like a father, often coming to the book room to look in on us, patting us on the shoulder and encouraging us. For me, who lost my father in childhood, this was truly warm.
Because there was a need, the brother also let me work and study at the Gospel Book Room during the summer vacation; and even at my graduation he fellowshipped with the one who served me, asking me whether I would come to serve at the book room's retail store. Yet I was actually unwilling to accept—how strange this was, and I still feel regret to this day.
For a little sister as insignificant as I, when I was getting married and went to fellowship with the brother, he was even willing to be the officiant at my wedding, which moved me beyond measure. Because I married into a different hall, I could only see our brother at conferences, yet the brother would always warmly greet us and ask how we were. Once again my heart was warmed, and I was renewed in strength.
