A Good Pattern of Faithful Shepherding and Supplying the Lord's Word
Dearly beloved Brother Wu!
At the small-group meeting on February 28, you said your blood pressure was low and you feared falling, so Sister Wu accompanied you downstairs; at that small group I was even still asking you questions!
In the small group I always seized the precious time to ask you many questions, to understand how the churches in various places were raised up; with patience you would speak from the church at Hall One in Taipei, telling of one hall after another, all the way to the newly established Hall Seventy-six. To you, this testimony of nearly a hundred years was vivid before your eyes. In the small group you helped us to know in many aspects the Lord's move in Taiwan, and you could even speak of the situation of the churches all over the globe; the many testimonies and patterns stirred us up the more, every time we heard you tell them. In daily life you also cared for the situations of the brothers and sisters, always laying our small matters upon your heart—truly faithfully shepherding the Lord's sheep and feeding the Lord's little lambs. How blessed these two years were, that I could be in the small group together with you, receiving your supply and encouragement; thank you for your teaching in the small group and for the building up on the Lord's Day!
On the Lord's Day of March 1, I sat at your side; though there were two seats between us, the joyful spirit of you as you sang the hymns infected me, and your voice sang out truly resounding! The words of a prophet, like Moses and Paul, in today's church life—just like you! Your words still ring in my ears! Like Ezra teaching the truth, like the resurrected and enterprising Nehemiah positively recovering the city, reconstituting the people of God anew; whether in the small group or in the blending, I received from you many words of supply, which also became my timely help. Now you have rested from your labor on earth; the race that you had to run, you have run to the end, and there is laid up for you that crown of righteousness! Brother Wu, we love you! Your good pattern stirs up every brother and sister to run with all their strength the heavenly race, and the Lord will surely remember your family and the churches in every place forever!
