Wisdom, Faithfulness, Capacity, Pattern
Brother Wu's steadfast attitude in service, his broad capacity of personality, his willingness to pay the price and to spare no pains, and his taking the lead to put himself into the service became an excellent pattern for us to learn coordinated service.
In 1995, when I obtained a Canadian immigration visa, I fellowshipped with the brothers about how to go on. With his uniquely insightful utterance, our elder brother emboldened me to resign from my job and immigrate to Canada with my whole family. This gave our family, under the Lord's sovereignty, a new beginning.
Afterward, he visited the churches in Canada many times. Not only were the purchase and construction of the meeting halls of many churches supported and helped through the fellowship of our elder brother and the churches in Taiwan, but even more, through inviting the co-workers of Taiwan to visit and strengthen us, many churches were supplied in life and brought into the reality of the building up.
Looking back, when our elder brother and Brother Lin Hong (林鴻) saw that, regarding the renovation and rebuilding of the meeting hall, the church in our locality still felt hesitant to go forward, they gave us fitting exhortation and guidance, helping us to make a decision that was out of the Lord.
He also once told me of the past, that in his early days of service, though he had at times been misunderstood, he was still entrusted by Brother Lee, and he steadfastly and continually served faithfully and was one with the ministry. For the life that the Lord, through Brother Wu, lived—wholly faithful for God's house and absolutely one with the ministry—I worship the Lord.
