We Witnessed the Testimony of His Whole Life
And in the Fellowship of the Body Received Grace Together
He was a Christian who lived a normal church life, a living and functioning member in the Body of Christ, a good steward of grace in God's house, a faithful and prudent slave; an apostle bearing the same yoke with the ministry, a wise master builder who built the church according to the pattern; a strenuous and comprehensive spreader of the high-peak truths; a constituted one who enjoyed the riches of the ministry's literature; the leader and one who carried out the God-ordained new way; he brought the high gospel of the kingdom, through sending out young co-workers, in the coordination of the one new man, propagating to Europe, Asia, and Africa, establishing church trees; he led the churches to closely follow the seven yearly trainings and conferences; he was a fighter for the truth, a dream-fulfiller who saw the vision; he laid himself out to visit, fellowship with, and care for the various places, linking and joining the churches and the ministry and the work together, so that the universal Body of Christ might be comprehensively built up; he caused the churches to share with one another in their needs, leading the churches by faith to overflow with rich generosity, wisely serving the churches, so that the Lord's recovery blossomed everywhere and flourished.
His whole life was like a drink offering, poured out upon the Lord whom he loved and upon the saints, so that God and man together received joy and satisfaction. He set an example himself, lowering his shoulder to bear the load, diligently laboring, meek and humble, joyful and magnanimous, striving with all his might; though beset by much sickness and pressed on every side, yet, relying on the Lord's great power of resurrection and His abundant mercy and grace, he still abounded in the work of the Lord. His life of seventy years—his labor in the Lord—was by no means in vain. He ate as food all the difficulties of himself, the saints, and the church; his firm faith toward the Lord comforted, encouraged, strengthened, and established us to courageously and faithfully complete with him the mission the Lord entrusted.
May we, like Timothy following in the footsteps of the apostle Paul, knowing from whom we have learned, steadfastly continue, be one accord, and anew answer the Lord's calling in this last age.
