Entering into the Riches of the Ministry

Practicing the Blending of the Body

Brother Yucheng and I entered together into the service of this ministry in the early 1980s. From the very first day, we were both very clear that our burden was not to preach sermons or hold conferences, but to bring people into the riches of the ministry. Yucheng in the East, I in the West—this was our common burden.

The Gospel Book Room that Yucheng led has, for several decades, brought the brothers and sisters into the riches of the ministry; this is plain for all to see. Today everyone treasures the riches of this ministry and identifies with the leading of this ministry.

Yucheng took the lead to attend in person the seven conferences and trainings each year, bringing about the brothers' and sisters' identification with the ministry and their appreciation of the riches of the ministry. He not only did it himself but also became a very good pattern, and the co-workers and all the saints followed.

In my memory, over these several decades, especially after Brother Lee passed away, Brother Yucheng did not miss a single one of the seven yearly feasts. Except for one or two times last year when he could not be present because of illness, he faithfully attended the seven yearly gatherings—this was truly remarkable. Its influence was such that the brothers and sisters throughout the entire Eastern Hemisphere closely followed the leading of the ministry.

In the second aspect, after Brother Lee departed, we all went on according to the direction he left us, that is, to live the church life in blending. The Lord's recovery has no institutional uniformity; we are neither an organization nor do we have a headquarters; we keep the oneness of the Spirit and maintain being one accord through regular and frequent blending—much blending among the churches, among the co-workers, and among the saints. In this aspect, too, Brother Yucheng spared no effort. Today the testimony of the entire Lord's recovery in the East is that the churches in every country and locality are in one practice of blending. This is the Lord's blessing to us, and it was also brought about through Brother Wu's service.

Here I, on behalf of Living Stream Ministry and also on behalf of the co-workers and the churches in the West, thank God for giving us the brother's service. Through the brother's labor, the saints were brought into the ministry and the churches were brought into the blending.

In his last conference, "Experiencing the Organic Salvation of God Equaling Reigning in the Life of Christ," in the sixth message Brother Lee said that the last point of reigning in life is to bring the churches into the blending of the Body of Christ; that is what we see the apostle Paul doing in Romans 15 and 16. From this aspect we may say that Brother Yucheng, in reigning in life, reached the final stage.

I hope that in the days to come, the churches, the co-workers, and the saints will still, in these two matters of following the ministry and blending, faithfully and continually be the Lord's testimony. May the Lord bless His recovery and bless His churches. Amen.
