Overseas Propagation — Actively Advancing the Propagation in Europe, Russia, the LME, and the LMA

Brother Zhang Zhicheng (張志誠): In December 1991, the former Soviet Union dissolved, and the Lord's recovery immediately moved in coordination with the Lord's arrangement amid the world situation, beginning the action of the gospel propagation in Russia.

Brother Wu, together with the brothers in the gospel work in Taiwan, received the fellowship of the Lord's servant Brother Witness Lee and called and selected young saints who had received the full-time training to go to Russia for the propagation. From 1993 to 2007, over the course of fourteen years, a total of one hundred and eighty co-workers and family members from Taiwan had a part in the action of the gospel propagation in the former Soviet Union. They blended and coordinated closely with the English-speaking, Russian-speaking, and Korean-speaking co-workers, preaching the gospel of the kingdom locality by locality, and established nearly two hundred local churches among the twelve republics of the former Soviet Union.

In addition, beginning in 1997, Brother Wu also received Brother Lee's burden for "the high peak of the propagation," sending co-workers to countries such as Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, India, and Ghana to set up bookrooms and to advance the work of the printed ministry of the Lord's recovery, spreading the precious revelation of the truth in the New Testament ministry among God's vast number of children.

In those years Brother Wu was not only concerned for the action of the Lord's recovery in the Russian-speaking world; even more, through this action he actively perfected the Lord-loving saints of the younger generation in Taiwan, enabling them to break through the limitations of language and region, to behold with their own eyes the vision of the building up of the universal Body of Christ, and to personally experience the glorious action of one universal new man on the earth. As we remember our dear Brother Wu Youcheng here today and look back upon this portion of the history of the Lord's recovery, we cannot help but praise: how profound is the blessing that the Lord has brought down through this brother's service!
